지난 번 LA 방문 때 가지 못 했던 게티 빌라에 다녀 오기로 했다.
홈페이지에서 날짜와 시간을 지정해서 미리 예약을 해야 된다.
게티 빌라는 고대 로마집을 재현해서 만들어져 있다.
곳곳에 예술작품들이 놓여 있는 아름다운 정원을 산책하고
전시실로 들어가면 그리스/로마 지역의 옛 작품들이 전시되어 있다.
각 방마다 시대별로 작품이 전시되어 있는데 게티 센터에는 그림, 가구 등이 많았다면 게티 빌라에는 규모가 작은 조각품, 그릇, 동전, 반지 같은 작품들이 많이 전시되어 있었다.

오전 내내 둘러 보고 피크닉 지역에 가서 준비해 온 도시락을 먹었다.
지난 번 게티 센터 식당에서 지나치게 많은 돈을 지불해서 오늘은 돈을 아껴 보기로.
그래도
자석은 사야 된다.
1층, 2층, 정원까지 모두 돌아 보고 점심 식사까지 하고 나오니 2시가 넘었다.
차를 타고 나오는데 들어 오려는 차들이 길게 줄을 서 있엇다.
오후에 오면 주차하기 쉽지 않을 듯.
게티 센터보다 작품은 적었지만 고대 로마 저택에 초대 받아 수집품을 구경하고 가는 기분이 들어 특별했던 게티 빌라였다.
